It looks like Sony won E3 this year… And if you missed it, let me do a quick rundown/recap for you to sink your gamer teeth into…

It all started with quite the mysterious gameplay trailer… A young boy having his father bestow upon him a hunting knife. All while this goes on, the father talks to him from the shadows. As soon as the father reveals himself, any solid Sony gamer that is worth their salt knows that it is none other than Kratos himself. The voice and tattoos are a dead giveaway. He dons a full beard and guides his son to take down his first kill. Lots transpires as they brave through the wilderness (which looks as if it were ripped from the pages of Skyrim). At the end, you see them stare off into the horizon to see none other than Mount Olympus. The game is simply entitled God of War… Is this a reboot? A prequel? Who knows.

A new IP Sony had shown was called Days Gone, which looks pretty epic to say the least. And finally, one thing we have been waiting for for so long, The Last Guardian has gotten its long-awaited release date – October 25, 2016. Live gameplay was then shown of Horizon Zero Dawn, a game that was debuted last E3. It looks simply stunning, and looks to be a must-buy for any PS4 owner.Another new IP entitled Detroit: Become Human was shown, and it seems like you play as an android who, with a series of choices to be made, will have his story change as the game progresses.

The next one was quite impressive… First-person view, you wake to hear a telephone ringing, and upon answering a female voice tells you to “get out, or they will kill you”. Is this an Evil Within 2, I thought… but I was pretty wrong. The game turned out to be Resident Evil: Biohazard, and it will release in 2017, and will have full VP capability, from start to finish. That led straight into talk of PlayStation VR (PS VR), which is set to release on October 13, 2016, and will retail at $399. PS VR is said to have 50 VR compatible games upon its release. Some of the VR titles mentioned were Farpoint, Star Wars Battlefront: X-Wing VR Mission, and Batman Arkham VR. Final Fantasy XV was next, showing off some chocobo-riding along with real-time fighting, cars, and guns… FFXV is slated to come out on September 30, 2016, and will also be VR capable in some way.

The next piece had me thinking “Mass Effect” at first, but LOL, NOPE… It was Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.

It was announced that Crash Bandicoot would be remastered for the PS4, including the original, Crash Bandicoot 2, and Crash Bandicoot Warped. It will be available in October. Also, a new Star Wars LEGO game is coming in two week, The Force Awakens LEGO, with the demo being available now.

Kojima entered the stage and wowed everyone with the reveal of his new game company as well as a new game, Death Stranding, starring The Walking Dead Norman Reedus. The trailer was trippy, but awesome enough that you need to know/see more.

A new Spider-Man game was shown, using the newest Spidey in the comic franchise. With no title stated, all we got was a hashtag, #spidermanps4.

The Sony showcase ended with another look at the new IP Days Gone, with an actual gameplay trailer.

The conference was awesome, and had something for everyone. What did you like seeing most, and what did you think should have been shown?
