According to a recent Facebook post from Nintendo, it looks like we will finally be getting a glimpse at what has been their most illusive console yet, the Nintendo NX (not it’s final console title). There have been rumors swirling about for some time that we would get an NX reveal sometime this month. It’s been a long time coming, and for a system that is supposed to release on the market in March of next year, I’d think it best for Nintendo to get the hype train going already.

There’s been many speculations about what the NX will be. It’s been said that it will take cartridges, that it will be a hybrid handheld and home gaming console, that it will have detachable controllers, and much more. Nintendo has since confirmed very little about it other than the fact that it IS a hybrid console, combining both handheld on-the-go gaming with gaming in the comfort of your home in front of your television set.

Here are my thoughts on the NX so far:

It will take cartridges similar to that of a Nintendo 3DS. Either they will be the same size, or maybe a tad bigger. This console will finally be the Nintendo console that bridges the gap between handheld gaming that you can take with you, and at-home gaming. I believe it’s going to be a fantastic machine, meant to phase out both the Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo Wii U. Trust that once this preview trailer airs tomorrow, you will be getting my two cents on the matter! Nightingale, UBG’s resident Nintendo fanatic, over and out!
